Leader Heads, also known as "Conductor Heads" are mostly used today for decorative purposes, although their original purpose was to serve as a connection point for multiple downspouts from a gutter.
In long downspout runs they allow for a distinctive visual breakup of the downspout. In virtually all cases, a leader head adds a certain level of panache to an otherwise humdrum rain-management necessity. It is definitely an eye-catcher.

Leader Heads are available in various shapes, sizes, colors, materials and price and there is a huge selection from which to choose.
